Teacher Aide
Teacher aide is an individual who assists a professor or teacher with instructional responsibilities. Teacher assistants provide instructional and clerical support for classroom teachers, allowing teachers more time for lesson planning and teaching. They support and assist children in learning class material using the teacher's lesson plans, providing students with individualized attention.
Teacher aides provide a wide range of support for students who need assistance to participate in educational activities and achieve learning outcomes. They work closely with teachers, developing and obtaining resources, setting up and operating equipment, undertaking administrative duties, supervising students and participating in teaching activities under the direction of a teacher.
Additional teacher's assistant responsibilities include grading homework and tests and recording the results by using answer sheets or electronic marking devices. Also they organize and oversee fun activities to stimulate physical, mental, and social growth.
